On The Beach

Great fun on the beach with Tracey & Daniel. Daniel was full of beans and energy as he ran up and down the beach and up and down the dunes!  He was very good at posing with his Mam too...

Leonie & Andy 16th November 2012

A beautiful, sunny autumn day in the quiet village of Lucker in Northumberland. Leonie and Andy brought their closest family and friends together for their wedding.

Andy and his Best Man Mark seemed ready to take everything in their stride.

The church was decorated with a really nice, natural selection of flowers as the guests gathered

Leonie's Mum and young Ze wait with the vicar in good spirits anticipating the arrival of our bride...

Leonie and her Dad wait in the doorway and take that last deep breath...

Back outside for rose petal confetti - This always makes for a nice photograph.

At nearby Warenford for a few photographs across the fields towards Leonie's Mum and Dad's farm.

The White Swan at Warenford was a lovely venue for a drink, conversation, a great meal and some well chosen words.

Leonie & Andy - It was a lovely wedding and I'm so glad the sun shone for you. Thanks for having me there and I'll have more photos for you soon... Best Wishes

Daisy on the iPhone

I was tidying up my iPhone Photo libraries today and collected together my favourite top 10 'quirky' shots of Daisy. I hope they bring a smile to your face!

Happy Friday! Andy

Amy & Mark, 25th August 2012

It was a bit damp in Northumberland on Amy & Mark's wedding day but it didn't seem to dampen anyones' spirits. We're used to a bit of rain around here!

The boys had just run into the church when I arrived and everyone seemed fairly calm and happy...

Amy arrived all smiles with her Dad.

The flower girls played their part down the aisle and seemed to be enjoying themselves. They were happy all day.

The vicar had asked me to shoot from the choir stalls, quite close to Amy & Mark, so I got some intimate shots of the ceremony.

Back down the aisle and out for a bit of confetti courtesy of the Page Boys and the Flower Girls.

We headed off through the wet streets of Seahouses to Bamburgh trailing tin cans behind the Rolls Royce. Most of my shots here are under a brolly but Amy & Mark braved the elements for a few seconds for this shot...

Amy seemed happy to be back in the dry of the Rolls.

...and so to the reception for speeches & dancing

Amy threw the bouquet and there was no holds barred in the resulting scrum! Impressively caught by a friend with proven netball skills!

My night ended with the first dance but I'm sure it was warming up to be a great evening

Amy & Mark - Thanks for having me at your wedding. It was great to meet everyone and to be there for you. The rest of the photos will follow soon... Best Wishes

Helen & Mark 18th August 2012

After a rainy start to the day, the weather steadily improved for Helen & Mark's wedding. I started off at Helen's Mum's house where the girls were getting ready with the help of a hairdresser, a make-up artist and each other...

Helen already looked beautiful before the make-up.

Meanwhile the boys were assembling in Boulmer village. They were ready, Mark's Mum and Dad were ready...

...but the dogs were watching the comings and goings from a safe distance.

In Boulmer there's a tradition of firing shotguns above the departing groom after some money has changed hands. I was really glad to be there for the ceremony and to record this long-standing tradition.

The two Marks - safely at the church on time.

The bridesmaids looked fantastic - ready to play their part...

Helen's arrival down the aisle and that first glimpse for Mark...

A very happy couple...

After the ceremony we went to the shore at Boulmer for some s'formal' shots in the bright sun.

And then on to the marquee in Boulmer for a few fun shots of the boys in their finery and of the speeches...

At 10 days, this is my youngest ever wedding guest. A Bonny wee man.

I really enjoyed Helen & Mark's wedding - I was made to feel very welcome and I hope you enjoy the memories of a beautiful sunny day at Boulmer. Best Wishes

Andy
