Wilmie

Wilmie won the Northumberland Gazette/SHAK photo competition. I shortlisted the entries but the Gazette's readers chose Wilmie as the winner. It's no secret that I love greyhounds and lurchers so I was really pleased to have Wilmie in my studio on Tuesday. Here are a few of my favourites...

On The Beach

Great fun on the beach with Tracey & Daniel. Daniel was full of beans and energy as he ran up and down the beach and up and down the dunes!  He was very good at posing with his Mam too...

Leonie & Andy 16th November 2012

A beautiful, sunny autumn day in the quiet village of Lucker in Northumberland. Leonie and Andy brought their closest family and friends together for their wedding.

Andy and his Best Man Mark seemed ready to take everything in their stride.

The church was decorated with a really nice, natural selection of flowers as the guests gathered

Leonie's Mum and young Ze wait with the vicar in good spirits anticipating the arrival of our bride...

Leonie and her Dad wait in the doorway and take that last deep breath...

Back outside for rose petal confetti - This always makes for a nice photograph.

At nearby Warenford for a few photographs across the fields towards Leonie's Mum and Dad's farm.

The White Swan at Warenford was a lovely venue for a drink, conversation, a great meal and some well chosen words.

Laura & Bill 7th July 2012

Laura & Bill brought friends and family through floods and mist to Chillingham Castle for a very romantic setting for their wedding.

You can tell a nice dress when it already looks great just hanging up.

I was there for the girls' pampering and preparations with the hair & make-up experts.

The boys were ready to go so they occupied their time in striking catalogue poses

and then before you know it it was time to descend the turret stairs and head to The Great Hall

After the ceremony we had a chance for a few photos in the grounds before it was back for a mediaeval feast of hog roast then 3 fine speeches

There were a few characters around - knights, a monk serving his mead...

...which Laura tried a bit tentatively

and so to the dancing and Marissa the flower girl led the way...

Thanks to Laura & Bill for having me at your wedding. It was a lovely day and I'm glad Northumberland stayed dry for you all. Best Wishes
