Variety show

Variety, as they say, is the spice of life. I'd been asked to photograph a very new Case tractor which was busy sowing wheat this morning. Thanks to Richard and Ian for your cooperation. Nice to meet you both.

Best of August

Here are some of my favourite shots from August 2011. These have all appeared on my other blog Northumberland360.com - The Photographic Diary of a Dog-walker on the Northumberland Coast.

For the story behind each photograph you'll have to visit the other blog and drift through a few pages.

Hope you like them...

Sarah & Scott, 1st September 2011

Sarah & Scott's wedding in Lesbury was always going to be a great day. Sarah had planned every detail and when I arrived at the house it was obvious how much preparation had gone into everything.

The house was full of fantastic flowers by Fern

I had heard so much about the dress from Jenny Packham and I wasn't disappointed when I first saw it hanging up in Sarah's window.

Sarah and Maid of Honour Ruth were putting the final touches to their make up when I arrived and they seemed very relaxed - that's what good planning does for you...

The dress fitted Sarah perfectly and looked wonderful.

Meanwhile at the church the boys were looking very smart too...

Sarah arrived in great style with her Dad.

Soon we had the ceremony under way and what a giggly, happy wedding it was.

The new Mr and Mrs Kerr caught the bus back to the house and we stopped off by the beach for a few photos en route.

There were to be no speeches but Sarah's Dad said a few well chosen words. which had the desired reaction on the bride!

One last job at the house as Sarah threw the bouquet for assorted friends. And it was caught by...

..Sarah! 2nd time went on a more traditional trajectory!

Sarah's 'going away' dress was lovely too and then it was off to Alnmouth station for the train to Paris with friends...

Sarah & Scott had organised a beautiful wedding and I really enjoyed being there. I'll have the rest of the collection ready for you soon. Best wishes Andy x

Boo and Brooks

I was pleased to be invited to photograph a recording session in Glasgow this week. Brooks Williams ann Boo Hewerdine were recording together for the first time with Mark Freegard engineering the session.

It's such a joy for me to watch professionals at work like this and I hope my photographs capture the spirit of the sessions.

First off some shots of the local graffiti...
