Katie

I photographed Tom and Alison's wedding back in 2008 and it was lovely to be asked back up to Edinburgh to photograph little Katie, their beautiful 6 month old baby girl.

She was so well behaved and smiley that it was an absolute joy to spend an hour with the 3 of them.

old family photographs

I can't take any credit for these photos as they are old family shots.

Here I am with my Mum at 14 days

..and I love this photo of my aunt, my mum and two friends in Rothesay. The original is only 2" square or I'd make it into a poster!

Competition

I've resolved to enter more photo competitions this year and this is the first one. There's a handsome prize, a chance for an exhibition and the entry fees go to a cancer charity.

Best of 2010

I thought I'd review my favourite portrait photos from last year.

This was a year when I moved away from using my studio towards using people's homes and the beach. Some of these are old friends that I've photographed many times, some I look forward to working with again and many of these photos are of holidaying families too: "Holiday Snaps" was a new venture for me in 2010 which I hope will go from strength to strength in 2011.

My new photo training venture is working well for me and I'm really enjoying the teaching but I'm dedicated to maintaining my working profile too. You can't teach unless you know what you're talking about!
