Solas and Fraoch

After my one-eyed-hound.com sponsorship of the Greyhound Awareness League's dogshow, Maggi brought along Fraoch and Solas for a photo session.

They're beautiful dogs; Fraoch's a Scottish Deerhound and Solas is a young GSD. They were easy to work with and they were very well trained. Not all dogs are so well behaved both in and out of the studio.

It was a pleasure to photograph this handsome lad and bonny lass!

Spirit of Radio....

Tom Sawyer are a Rush tribute band that I've seen a couple of times in concert.

Last time, at The Liquid Rooms in Edinburgh, I took a few pictures of the guys on stage.
I'm pleased to say that the band's website and promo posters are now all decorated with my images as they loved the shots.

Laura & Sean 18th August 2007

A really nice church service and a great bunch of friends and relations meant that the rain didn't dampen the spirit of the day for Laura and Sean. St Mary's Church in Dalkeith was a grand and historical setting, Melville Castle did a great job at hosting the reception.

As is my way, I persuaded Laura to ruin her beautiful dress (a bit) by walking out and about in the rather wet Country Park. I hope the photos that we got made it worthwhile. Thanks guys for putting up with the rain and mud!

Alison and Tom 11th August 07

Dalhousie Castle was the magnificent venue for Alison and Tom's wedding. An emotional day but the Bride and Groom were ably supported throughout by superb families and friends. I'd been looking forward to the venue as it has so many photographic options including a local ruined chapel that I knew about. Thanks to Alison and Tom for making the journey in the rain to pander to my artistic whims! My adrenaline was going when the owl was due to make his appearance. Simon, the Best Man, did a great job handling the owl as he delivered the wedding rings.

Claire & Steven 4th August

Claire and Steven's wedding was blessed by a rare day of beautiful sunshine. A really moving but good humoured service followed by a great party at Melville Castle. I really enjoyed this wedding as it had been meticulously planned, was well executed by all the vendors and was thoroughly enjoyed by the couple and the guests.

Children's Fun Day
